The working method is always the same: to wander through familiar places, observe them repeatedly, and commit them to memory. These fixed landscapes, transposed into portrait format, construct a cartography of intimate territories. It is also a way of telling their story: one chapter retraces that of the Reine Jeanne, a wild cove completely devastated by fire, where vegetation gradually reemerges from the ashes and charred trees. It speaks of destruction and rebirth—a poetic way of bearing witness to the state of nature and of prompting reflection on the relationship we maintain with it. This is what Wim Wenders suggests in his film Until the End of the World, when he stages an elderly Aboriginal man who sings the story of the place where he lives. The purpose of this song is to keep that piece of nature alive, and in doing so, to preserve humankind.

Renouncing figuration in favor of color is a defining element of my creative identity. Abstraction allows for a deconstruction of reality, retaining only a field of color that appeals directly to sensation. Like a retinal image, color and gesture reveal the landscape anew, reduced to its essentials. Through a ripple effect between technique, subject, and audience, an inclusive interaction is set in motion. The viewer becomes an active participant in the construction of another reality.
