Born in Nice in 1961, Anouk Albertini is a sculptor with a deep passion for materiality. A graduate of the Académie Julian – Met de Penninghen in Paris, she continued to develop her practice in the studio of sculptor Maurizio Toffoletti, fully committing herself to the field of sculpture.
Through her work with stone and clay, the artist explores the relationships between volumes, lines, curves, shadow and light, matte and gloss. Her pared-down aesthetic is the result of an ongoing reflection on the idea of harmony.
This founding principle, which inspires her, enables her to explore through dynamic works the meaning of fusion and union, balancing equilibrium, softness, and purity. Timeless, her Couples, Constructions, and Assemblages draw us into a contemplative experience that soothes the mind and invites open, personal interpretation.
