“Very early on, I began to see the world in a particular way. I see many things that others do not see—things that very few people are able to discern.

I am self-taught.

I taught myself to give form to the things I saw (differently) on paper, placing them in relation to their environment.

As a discipline that forms an interface between drawing and symbols, calligraphy taught me to translate characters and symbols into drawing, and I discovered the origin of this art in nature.

My self-directed way of learning proved ideal for this, as it allowed me to fully follow my own impulses and inner drives, thereby developing my unique and direct means of expression.

I found my own empathetic approach to translating into drawing what I see and feel.
