Amélie Chassary develops a practice at the intersection of photography, painting, and poetry, where every gesture, every object, and every fragment of nature becomes the medium for an exploration of time, memory, and the metamorphosis of living things. Her works weave a delicate connection between the fragility of forms and the persistence of their beauty, between observation and invention.
The artist’s photographic series immerse the viewer in a contemplative universe, where fruits, flowers, antique objects, and plants converse with poems, like a discreet breath accompanying the image. The light is soft and profound, the compositions refined and sensual, revealing material and color in their own temporality. Each image becomes a suspended space, a pause where the gaze can linger on the passage of time and the fragility of the living world.
Her painting projects centered on nature express an intimate attention to seasonal cycles and the transformations of living things. Through painterly interventions on her photographic prints and wooden supports, forms unfold, distort, and hybridize, opening the images to an imaginary and poetic dimension, between precise observation and reverie.
Amélie Chassary’s work is a meditation on time and desire. Still lifes, landscapes, and everyday objects become witnesses to the passing of the seasons and the memory of gestures.
